An excellent base from which to explore, it sits on the edge of a National Park, and is just 20 minutes from the historic D-Day landing beaches with their golden sands, making it an ideal spot for walking or cycling. The beautiful city of Bayeux with its famous tapestry and fashionable shops is within easy reach, and just a little further is the impressive city of Caen. There are many restaurants to tempt you with menus of local seafood and dairy produce, and a chance to sample some real Calvados.
