Situated just a short drive from the lovely city of Chartres, this delightful old hunting lodge is set in an attractive enclosed garden. Over the years it has been lovingly renovated by its owners and now offers a comfortable holiday home.
The sitting/dining room still has its wealth of attractive beams and a fitted modern kitchen. This region is very rich in history. Chartres has a magnificent cathedral where various music festivals are held during the summer, and old timbered houses in the medieval quarter of the town. Also see the châteaux of Maintenon, d'Anet, Rambouillet and Auneau, and the pretty villages of Gallardon and Nogent-le-Roi. Perhaps the best way to view the area is from the sky - hot-air balloon rides can be arranged locally for a fabulous 'bird's eye view'! If you wish to visit Paris without taking the car, there is a train station 4 km away.
