Built in the 19th century, it is in an idyllic rural position set well back from the riverside road which runs along the Loire between Angers and Saumur. With superb views over the Loire, it is ideally positioned for touring the châteaux.
Charmingly restored and retaining many original features including tiled floors, stone fireplaces and exposed beams, the property is fully modernised and centrally heated for lets in all seasons. It is laid out on three floors and the bedrooms face south over the delightful gardens, terrace and pool area, which are maintained by the gardener. The three acres of private grounds include a secluded swimming pool, well away from the house, a walled courtyard, orchard, woods, stream and fishpond (children require supervision).
There is a games room with table tennis in the grounds, and the tumble dryer and an additional large fridge are also housed there. The property is within walking or cycling distance of the village shops at
La Menitré, where there is also a rail link to Paris; a wide variety of sports facilities is available locally too.
This is an enviably quiet and secluded position; occasional traffic and agricultural sounds may be heard dependent on climatic and seasonal conditions. The owner very occasionally uses a separate cottage in the grounds, which is very unobtrusive, but the swimming pool is reserved exclusively for your use.
