This second floor apartment is set in a quiet street with a small, public shady park, not far from the old market town, now transformed into a shopping and restaurant centre with esplanades to the River Gilao.
Tavira is a popular town with tourists, but life here is pretty much as it always has been, and the town has continued to be a primary fishing port. There are two sides to the town linked by a Roman bridge.
Tavira is full of historic churches and fine, old houses, and is presided over by a Moorsih castle. In the summer months a short boat trip will take you to the lovely long beaches on the Ilha of Tavira - an offshore island of fine, golden sand providing excellent swimming, or you can drive a little further along the coast to the other beaches. This very new, cosy apartment offers a comfortable base from which you can enjoy this interesting town. Reached by a flight of stairs (approx. 36 with hand rail).
